Privacy Policy
This page explains, in plain words, what icryptofy collects, why, who helps us run the site, and how you can have your data deleted. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- If you create an account with email: your email address, the name you type, the level you pick (new, some experience, active trader) and your password. Your password is stored scrambled (hashed) by our sign-in provider; we can never see it.
- If you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile photo link, as Google shares them with us.
- If you sign in with Telegram: your Telegram user number, name, username and profile photo link, as Telegram shares them with us. We never see your phone number.
- Your learning progress: which lessons you have marked as finished, so it shows on every device you sign in on.
- Email lists: if you subscribe to “Today in crypto” or join a waitlist (for example for Advanced courses), we save that email address and which list it’s for.
- Sign-in troubleshooting: when someone signs in with Telegram we keep a short technical note (whether it worked, the time, the website address it came from, the browser type, and the Telegram user number) so we can fix sign-in problems.
What stays on your device only
Some things are saved in your browser, not on our servers: your light/dark choice, game scores, “practice sats” (fun points with no money value) and, if you are not signed in, your lesson progress. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your data.
- We don’t show ads and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
- We never ask for your passwords to exchanges, your seed phrase, your 2FA codes or your money. Anyone who does is a scammer.
Why we use it
- To sign you in and keep your progress.
- To send the emails you asked for. Every email will have an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site secure and fix problems.
Services that help run icryptofy
- Supabase: stores accounts, progress and email lists, and handles sign-in.
- Vercel: hosts the website. Like every web host, it keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and browser type).
- Google and Telegram: only if you choose to sign in with them. Google also serves the fonts the site uses.
- News publishers (such as CoinDesk, Cointelegraph and Decrypt): news photos load from their servers, and news links take you to their websites, which have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
Account data and progress are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Email-list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. Sign-in troubleshooting notes are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Your choices
- You can use every free lesson without an account.
- You can reset your progress at any time in Profile & settings.
- You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your data, or remove you from an email list, by emailing hello@icryptofy.com (or through the Support page). Deleting your account removes your profile and progress.
Age
icryptofy is meant for people aged 18 or older.
